Antique Walnut Bureau Bookcase

19th century
Description

A very well made antique walnut bureau bookcase in the William and Mary style. This was made in England, it dates from around 1890-1900.

The quality is excellent, this has a lovely domed upper diction with an astral glazed door and adjustable shelves. The lower section contains a pull down writing surface with internal drawers and pigeon holes, there is an additional drawer beneath the pull down flap. It sits on beautifully turned legs, with a fantastic stretchered base.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.

Width – 29 inches , 74 cm

Depth – 20 inches , 51 cm

Height – 73 inches , 184 cm

Knee height – 28 inches , 71 cm
