It comes with its original working key for the sloped front and this also locks the drawers as well.
It has been cleaned and gently polished, retaining the original patina. The escutcheon on the sloped front has been replaced at some point but it a very close match and suits the piece well. There are general signs of age and use, some old knocks, small splits and a few small repairs but no major damages and the piece is strong and sturdy. The interior is in good condition with a few old surface marks and stains but nothing detrimental. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside.
