This is a beautiful handwoven woollen Hamadan carpet dating from around 1930. The carpet had a pretty two way design with a central lozenge set within a flower filled field and deep borders of flowers and serrated leaves. Each end of the carpet has a bowl of flowers to the design.Hamadans are robust and very woolly carpets with a deep pile.
