Very rare, top quality, solid cast French Bronze Sculpture of King Louis Philippe by Jean-Jacques Pradier, called James, (1790-1852) cast by Soyer & Ingé, c1834. Modelled standing, leaning on a pedestal holding his hat in his right hand, on red/black marble base.
Marked to rear of pedestal ‘J Pradier 1830’ with foundry inscription to side of base ‘Soyer et Ingé Fondeurs’ (Foundry closed in 1843).
