Description

Lovely quality George 1 walnut bureau, circa 1720.

The featherbanded fall front ( with working lock and key ) opening to interior fitted with various drawers and compartments, drop well centre and tooled leather writing surface, the two short and two long drawers below are again all featherbanded, raised on bracket feet.

With marks / scuffs and some historic repairs as expected with a piece of such immense age, overall this wonderful bureau is in good sound condition with a fabulous rich colour and patina, it really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated.
