Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

FAQs

French neoclassical furniture, popular during the 18th and 19th centuries, draws inspiration from classical antiquity, featuring clean geometric lines, symmetrical proportions, and classical motifs such as swags and urns.

These beds typically employ dense hardwoods like mahogany and fruitwood, utilising precision-cut geometric veneer patterns alongside cast bronze or ormolu brass mounts.

Authenticity is determined by inspecting the hand-cut precision of the wooden veneer, the weight and chisel-finishing of the gilt bronze mounts, and traditional joinery methods visible on the frame interior.

Pair the ornate wooden frame with neutral, unadorned linens and minimalist lighting to let the intricate geometric wood patterns and metallic mounts serve as the focal point of the room.

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth and apply a microcrystalline wax periodically to nourish the wood finish, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners that can damage both the timber and the gilt metal.
