Liberty & Co. introduced the Tudric pewter line in the early 20th century, frequently collaborating with leading designers like Archibald Knox, whose work defined the British Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts movements.

Tudric items are cast from a high-quality alloy of tin, copper, and antimony, often accented with hand-beaten surfaces, woven cane handles, and vibrant enamel cabochons.

Authentic pieces usually feature stamped makers marks on the base, including Tudric, a registered design number, and occasionally maker or retailer ciphers associated with Liberty & Co.

An antique metal jug adds a textural focal point to spaces like a sideboard or mantelpiece, contrasting well with minimalist modern surfaces or complementing traditional industrial schemes.

Pewter should be dusted gently with a soft cloth and washed only when necessary using mild soap and warm water, avoiding abrasive polishes that can remove historical patina.
