A Most Pleasing 1930s Marble and Bronze Mounted Bowl or Desk Tidy.

This superb 1930s bronze and polished marble artwork is of very high quality. It most likely would have originally been used on a desk to store business cards and small items. This piece is not smoking related as it has no cut out rests for the cigarettes. It is delightful and most appealing in its form. The polished marble base is circular and has the most striking contrasting natural veins. Mounted to one side it has a very cute bronze duckling and in front, the marble has been carved out to form a pool for him to swim. This amusing and pleasing piece could have many uses such as storing jewellery on a dressing table, keys or calling cards on a hallway table or just for the pleasure to look at and enjoy. In very good original condition, French circa 1930
