A very handsome antique carpet with exquisite colour and design. This top flight furnishing carpet is single wefted and belongs to the Karaja family, though, with its open design and liberal use of pale blue, is more like a Bakshaish in its aesthetics. A piece of good age, 1870-1890, it remains in very nice condition, a few old repairs and traces of use, even low pile through out. An interesting and beautiful furnishing carpet that should excite the connoisseur.
