Here we have a beautiful rose gold Elgin pocket watch from 1921. The 15 jewel movement has a beautiful nickel finish and has just been fully serviced and will be sold with our 12 month gaurentee. The chain is solid 9ct gold and weighs 28 grams and the watch is a 9ct ''open face'' case. There is a tiny dent on the back edge which we can get removed if required for a small extra charge. The watch will be supplied with a pocket watch display stand in yellow gold which we feel displays the watch well. Elgin was first founded in 1864 and was named the National Watch Company in chicago, Illinois. This Business built the Elgin National Watch Company Observatory in 1910 to scientifically perfect their watches time keeping. During World War 2 Elgin moved into manufacturing military watches and altimeters for aircrafts. The city of Elgin, North Dakota, derives its name from the watch brand.
