Fine Melayir Rug, West Persia, Circa 1890, 1.90m X 1.45m (6'3" X 4'7")

This handsome Persian rug has very nice proportion to the design. The Herati design in the field is spacious and elegant. Note the very cute little spandrels in light blue. The border is also very pretty in a sapphire blue. The weave is very fine and the hand spun wool has a soft velvety touch. The pile is thin, fine and in excellent condition. All the dyes are natural. Professionally cleaned and ready for immediate use.
