Quality Large Mahogany Antique Victorian Wellington Chest

This late 19th century Quality Large Mahogany Antique Victorian Wellington Chest dates from ca. 1870. It has been constructed from the finest Mahogany Timbers and is of unusual larger proportions for a wellington chest. It has a figured moulded top above five ash lined drawers with very unusual carved handles. The drawers are securely closed with a hinged swinging arm, having a key with working lock. This stylish Victorian mahogany chest of drawers stands on a moulded plinth and benefits from maintaining the original backboards. The Mahogany has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of bees wax furniture polish.
