Antique Syrian Aleppo Prayer Kilim, Beautiful Display Item, Late 19th Century.

Size: 4ft 3in x 1ft 10in (130 x 57cm).

Antique Syrian prayer kilim from the ancient city of Aleppo.

Late 19th century.

This stunning kilim is very finely woven in wool with the whites in cotton, the bold graphic design of the blue against the white in the upper part contrasts well with the very fine detail in the banded and embroidered sections. The kilim has a wonderful range of colours.

The kilim is in excellent condition with only very slight wear.

The kilim has been hand washed and is ready for use or display. This kilim would make a spectacular wall hanging.
