Small 18th Century Mahogany Kneehole Desk

Description

Small size 34" wide 18th century George 3rd mahogany kneehole desk in very good clean condition. The desk stands on its original shaped bracket feet and comprises of 8 drawers and a central cupboard. All the drawers have a cock beaded edge, original iron locks and are oak lined. The swan neck brass handles are old but not original but in or close to the original holes. The cupboard has its original iron lock with original working key. The top has a nicely moulded edge with a wide cross banding.

The condition is very good with one or two old repairs as to be expected and the top has been sympathetically re-polished. The desk is a lovely mellow colour.
