Large Victorian Mahogany Antique Pedestal Desk

This late 19th Century Large Victorian Mahogany Antique Pedestal Desk dates from around 1880 in The Victorian period and has a green tooled leather writing insert above a central drawer and over knee hole. Each pedestal has four graduating drawers with turned handles and stands on a moulded plinth with castors. This super antique desk has a finished back so may be placed in the centre of a room if so desired and splits into three sections for easy removal. The central drawer is very unusual as it has an additional hinged writing slope. The Mahogany has aged to a warm medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
