An excellent quality William IV mahogany davenport.
c1835.

The hinged lid opens to reveal an attractive satinwood stationary storage well, with two small drawers to the back.
Supported by barley-twist columns.
To the right side of the davenport are four mahogany lined drawers with original turned wooden handles.and attractive circular bone escutcheons. All brass locks and escutcheons are present. With a slide-out and swivel ink-well and pen drawer.

To the opposing side are four dummy drawers.
Standing on the original castors.
Wonderful figuring to the mahogany. Good even colour throughout.
In very good condition, general expected signs of age and use. No key.

Very solid sturdy and strong.
The dimensions are taken at highest, widest, deepest points.
Height-82cm. Height to the under-side of the writing slope-61.7cm.
Width-57cm.
Depth-57cm.
