A Victorian bronze sculpture by Henri Plé French 1853- 1922 , of a beautiful women seated , with her hand to her chin in what is named MEDITATION. She has a sleeveless wrap around flowing dress to her bare feet and has a very relaxed face she seems to be meditating .
Henri Plé was a French paintor and sculptor who trained under the celebrated French sculptor Mathurin Moreau . He exhibited for the first time at the Paris salon in 1877 and received an honourable mention in 1879 .
