Superb, rare, large French Bronze Sculpture entitled ‘La Peche’ by Jean-Jacques Pradier (called James) 1790-1852 modelled as a standing nude maiden displaying her catch of fish in her raised left hand, a large net draped through her right arm, left foot on a basket, with seashells at her feet. Cast by Auguste Delafontaine. Signed J Pradier to base top and foundry mark to base edge - */A.D/Delafontaine, 2nd qtr 19th century
Very good condition overall. A few small scratches to leg and rear of one elbow. There is a protruding screw holding the fish tail to her body.
