A charming and vibrant example of Hughes Clayton's work showing this idealic country rustic scene.

Hughes Clayton lived in Liverpool from 1891-1916. Cemaes Bay, Anglesey, from 1907, and Wallasey, Cheshire from 1928.

He was best known for his coastal and rural scenes in the North West, Anglesey and North Wales.

His 42 exhibits were all at The Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool.
