Arthur was taught to draw and paint by his parents and painted landscapes and seascapes throughout the British Isles. Tucker exhibited at Suffolk Street, the New Watercolour Society and at the Royal Academy between 1883 and 1919. He was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 1895. Tucker became a founding member in 1904 of the Lake's Artists Society where he also later served as Vice-President.
"Staithes, Yorkshire" is a watercolour measuring 8"x 12". It is signed lower left and is mounted giving an overall size of 15"x 19". It is unframed.
