This finely carved & panelled mahogany pedestal desk makes a statement - it screams quality and opulence. The colour and surface have been enhanced by sensitive professional restoration, its original handles and Hobbs locks (all work with keys supplied) are still in place. The original writing surface was too tired and worn to retain - so we replaced it with a hand dyed top quality burgundy hide and embellished it with gold leaf. I suggest the original cabinet maker was not working on a budget, this is a substantial and impressive desk that stands at the right height for comfortable use.
