In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

18th-century classical engravings are detailed monochrome prints produced via copperplate incising, capturing architectural, classical, and mythological subjects popularised during the Grand Tour and Neoclassical movement.

Artisans incised designs into copper plates using a steel burin, applied oil-based ink, and pressed the plate firmly onto heavy cotton rag paper using a rolling press to create crisp line work.

Authentic prints exhibit a clear indented plate mark along the margin, natural hand-laid paper texture with visible chain lines when backlit, and sharp cross-hatching technique.

Mount the print using acid-free matboard inside a simple dark wood or gilt frame, placing it on a gallery wall or above a console table to balance contemporary or historic decor.

Frame prints under UV-filtering glass, maintain low and consistent humidity levels, and keep paper works away from direct sunlight and damp exterior walls to prevent foxing.
