A fine Victorian satinwood pedestal desk
c1890.
Constructed from satinwood. With the most lovely figuring and outstanding colour and glowing richness to the timbers.
The nine drawers have mahogany cock-beading, which contrasts beautifully with the lighter satinwood. The drawers are of fine dove-tail construction and are mahogany lined. With all locks and escutcheons present.
Elegant, round brass handles, of neoclassical design.
The right side top drawer has fitted sliding, removable tray compartments.
The overall condition is excellent antique condition, having general, expected signs of age and use.
Standing on the original castors, so making it easier to maneuver. The desk doesn`t dismantle.
