Good original Georgian solid oak ''Lowboy'' desk or side table, great example and in good condition and a useful size, being slightly deeper than the average lowboy desk, so there is more surface area and certainly useable as a daily desk. Good storage with the three drawers, all running well and sturdy, though the handles are not the original, they are solid brass and have been there for a very long time!
The top surface has some good quality quarter sawn oak grain to it and moulded edge, lovely depth of colour and patina, simple square legs with a moulded edge, but quite a decor piece too with the shaped kneehole. Some old marks to the top, but nothing out of the ordinary.
