Early 19th century rosewood stick barometer by CORTI of EXETER; with arched ivory register panels mounted on a solid rosewood base; the cistern cover applied with an ivory plaque engraved ''MODEL BAROMETER''. Circa 1840. In good condition and in working order.
Paul Corti is known to have been working at No. 5 Market Street, Exeter, from 1830 to 1850.

John Beazor Antiques is a family firm, established in 1875 and based in Cambridge since 1940. We are a traditional antiques shop, but very much in the 21st century. We deal in 18th and early 19th century furniture, barometers and clocks. We choose our stock for its originality and for the quality of its colour, patination and design.
