As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this most unusually decorated Satsuma plate signed by the highly regarded artist Ryozan , the gilt bordered chocolate background is a perfect contrast to the brightly coloured almost jewel like central scene, the decoration depicts the godess Kwannon riding a mythical Horse like beast, the gilding and decoration of the enamels are very fine as you would expect from a recognised artist , the plate is multi signed around a gilt seal to the rear .
The condition is lovely with no damage or restoration and only light gilt edge rubbing.
