The tooled leather writing surface is of some age - this has not been replaced due to its attractive colour and patina. (a new, quality hide, to the colour of your choice can be fitted in its place, at cost, if that is your preference)

All the 19th century locks are working, with a key, of similar age, supplied.
The wooden knobs & escutcheons are predominantly original.
The desk is at a perfect height to sit and work comfortably.
