Timberhill Gallery has dated this French Landscape Charcoal Drawing to the Victorian era.
Harpignies exhibited extensively including the Salon in Paris. He hangs extensively in both UK and French galleries.
The drawing is in charcoal and shows the distinctive withered trees that Harpignies drew and painted regularly. The drawing may relate to a series of oils he produced of the various landscapes of Provence.
The drawing is signed and dated 13 (1913) and measures 20x14 cm
