Mersham Manor Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
c1890.
All locks and escutcheons are present, with quality brass swan-neck handles. Standing on a plinth base, and having the original porcelain castors.

With carved, fluted decoration to the front sides.
The drawers are very long, and run to the very back of the desk, so giving lots of storage.
Very solid sturdy and strong, all drawers open smoothly.
Lovely warm colour and good patina, with nice figuring to the drawer fronts.

Dismantles into three sections.
The overall condition is exceptionally good, having general expected signs of use consistent with age, the swan-neck handles are replacements, but are stylistically correct for the design of the desk, and are of excellent quality, they are earlier than the desk, being genuine antique Georgian handles.

A lovely characterful desk of excellent quality.
