Timberhill Gallery has dated this Antique Sepia Landscape Drawing to the 1850s.
The drawing depicts a Broadland Staithe probably Postwick with workers loading a wherry with timber. They are using the winch used in hauling the wherry sail to lift the timber aboard. Another where is being quanted in the distance.
Thomas Lound owned a brewery in King Street Norwich. He was pupil, patron and close friend to a number of major members of the Norwich School.
