To the top is a wonderful pierced fret-work gallery, which pops up to reveal a pierced fret-work lidded tier, this opens to reveal a charming stationary box, having an abundance of letter recesses made of boxwood, with lidded compartments towards the front.

The piano top opens to reveal a high quality fitted interior,comprising of an adjustable writing slope, with an inset gold-tooled green leather writing surface, with two drawers, inkwells and lidded pen tray to the right side.

To the right side of the davenport are four mahogany lined drawers with original turned wooden handles. All brass locks and escutcheons are present, with keys.
To the opposing side are four dummy drawers.

Below the piano top is an exceptional burr walnut panel, flanked by elegant carved and turned column supports, standing on the original porcelain castors.
The condition is exceptionally good, with general signs of use to the interior. Very minor signs of use consistent with age.

Very solid sturdy and strong.
Bees-waxed and polished.
