Antique Victorian Light Oak Chest of Drawers

A particularly handsome antique Victorian light oak chest of drawers, with a lovely warm colour and naturally aged patina. The chest features a practical configuration of four full-width graduating drawers beneath two smaller upper drawers, all retaining their original turned wooden knobs. The drawers are framed by moulded stiles and raised on a set of attractive turned feet, giving the piece a pleasingly substantial yet elegant appearance.

A good-sized and very useful chest with excellent proportions and a particularly attractive colour and grain to the oak.

CONDITION REPORT:

The chest has minor age-related wear and marks commensurate with age and use. There is a small area of loss to the right-hand corner of the third drawer down. Minor splits to the sides are consistent with historic timber shrinkage. The drawers operate well and the chest is solid and sound. The oak retains a lovely warm colour and natural patina. Overall, a particularly nice example.
