Description

A Pair of Burnished Steel Fire Dogs, Andirons.

Each with a redded spire finial, over an orb, decorated with a fluted circumference band, over a baluster stem, with horizontal reeding. The pair of legs, sweeping rounded shoulders, with concave facings, to finish with scrolled toes, raised on rounded socles, and square plinths. The iron returns turned to a vertical support.

Date circa 1900.

Height 20 inches, 51cm.

Width 6 1/2 inches, 17cm.

Depth 16 1/2 inches, 42cm.
