Description

A Victorian oak church altar in lovely antique condition. The broad top has a rich, mellow patina with a gilt cross pattée to each corner. The front is decorated with crisp Gothic arches and the carved, gilded Communion inscription “Do this in Remembrance of Me.” Of generous proportion, it repurposes beautifully as a characterful kitchen island, bringing architectural presence and quiet ecclesiastical charm to a contemporary interior. A fine example of Victorian craftsmanship.
