Description

A charming small George III mahogany chest of drawers, circa 1775, of excellent proportions and attractive colour.

The rectangular moulded top sits above a useful brushing slide, fitted with two small drawers over three graduated long drawers, each retaining original brass swan-neck handles and oval brass escutcheons.

The drawers feature oak linings with dovetailed construction, while the chest stands on ogee bracket feet.

A particularly attractive and practical example, with a rich mahogany colour and lovely patina. Its compact proportions make it ideal for a bedroom, hallway or sitting room.
