Antique Khamseh Arab Rug. 148cm X 103cm.

Description

Arab tribes probably a jabbareh of the khamseh confederation. South west persia.

First quarter 20th century.

Has some more unusual colour range including a yellow and olive green. Some animal motifs within the blood red field.

Low pile with some light wear to centre. The cotton fringes are later additions done quite well and a long time ago.

Size is 4 foot 10 inches by 3 foot 4 inches. 148cm X 103cm. At widest points. Cotton fringes not measured in size. The rug all wool construction.

Price £345 gbp.
