Victorian Mahogany Two Door Wardrobe

Item Code: LC1474

A handsome Victorian mahogany two door wardrobe, dating from the mid-19th century and displaying particularly attractive figuring and warm colour throughout.

The wardrobe is topped by a substantial moulded cornice with rounded projecting corners, above a pair of tall panelled doors inset with arched mirrors. The surrounding mahogany is beautifully figured, giving the façade plenty of character.

The doors open to reveal a generously sized hanging interior, fitted with a brass hanging rail and hooks. Below sits a large full-width drawer fitted with turned wooden handles, providing useful additional storage. The wardrobe stands on a moulded plinth base, with rounded corners and restrained detailing typical of quality Victorian cabinetmaking.
