Description

A very rare 19th Century well figured burr walnut Wellington style tall chest of drawers of exceptional quality, finely hand carved and of extremely grand proportions with rich patination and grain. The gorgeous moulded sarcophagus pediment top of rectangular form is raised over a single drawer frieze above an arrangement of six drawers, all cockbeaded with reeded panelled detailing and featuring well cast decorative foliate brass escutcheons and swan neck handles, flanked with a fabulous pair of canted columns with beautiful overlapping circular detailing surmounted with stunningly carved lion masque, terminating on elegant bun foot.
