Painted Metal Knight Fireside Companion Set

Description

An unusual and highly decorative painted metal fireside companion set, modelled as a standing medieval knight in full armour. The figure is finished in warm copper and bronze tones, with contrasting lighter painted decoration to the flowing cloak, giving the piece a particularly striking appearance.

The reverse of the knight is cleverly designed to accommodate the accompanying fire tools, allowing them to be stored discreetly behind the figure when not in use. The set retains its brush, shovel, poker and tongs, each with decorative copper-finished handles and distinctive circular finials.

The knight stands upon a shaped stepped base, with well-modelled detail throughout the armour, helmet and drapery.
