This large nineteenth-century Victorian country house daybed provides an inviting place to recline in a living room, study or bedroom. Built with a beech frame, it displays an upholstered cream calico covering with exposed brown hessian webbing along the side panel. The structure includes an asymmetrical padded armrest on one side and a scrolled backrest at the head. Turned black ebonised legs support the piece underneath, fitted with small brass castors.
