A stunning looking 18th century Dutch antique marquetry decorated oak bombe chest of drawers. It has a moulded edge above four bombe shaped oak drawers with the original ornate brass handles, standing on wonderful looking claw and ball feet united by a shaped carved crested apron. The marquetry decorations depict floral tulip patterns and crests, with the top also incorporating two birds either side of a large crest. The colours and the patina of this item of truly striking, making it both a decorative and functional piece of furniture. There are signs of age, some cracks/historic repairs to the back and sides, various small knocks, scratches, and marks as can be expected for its age, but nothing detrimental and structurally sound.
