A recent find from a Leicestershire country home, we have a rather grand looking and highly handsome early 1900s George II revival two chair back sofa. Sitting in sleepy “country house” condition we have scroll hand rests, lovely shaped dense cabriole forelegs, a well shaped back, ball and claw feet and a drop in seat with good depth. Mark our upholsterer would be able to fully reupholster the seat at a cost of £300 plus VAT - you would require 2-3 metres of fabric which we can assist in finding if you desire.Condition is unrestored with a few historic repairs, plenty of history and of course the seat is tired and very worn. It sits firm and could be used as is if you want that look, otherwise maybe a repolish.
