This is a large antique dresser base. An English, oak Gothic revival ecclesiastical cabinet, dating to the Victorian period and later, circa 1870.

Of delightful Gothic revival taste and high Victorian quality, with traditional appeal

Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout

Quality oak stocks present fine grain interest and an abundance of medullary rays

Of country house finish with eye-catching deep caramel hues

Superb proportion with an arrangement of two generous cabinets

Field panel doors dressed with charming anchor drop handles over decorative backplates

Doors replete with circular brass lock escutcheons — untested, key absent

Plinth footer to the front and sides, with decorative brass mount at the centre point
