Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Tudric pewter was a brand name established by Liberty & Co. of London in 1899 to produce affordable, high-quality metalwork that embodied the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau movements. Famous designers such as Archibald Knox created iconic pieces characterized by Celtic motifs, stylised floral patterns, and enamel embellishments.

Pieces were cast in an alloy containing tin, antimony, and copper, known as pewter, which offered a brighter lustre than traditional lead-based alloys. Designers frequently incorporated woven cane or wicker handle wrapping for thermal insulation, alongside colorful enamel cabochons made of glass paste.

Authentic items usually feature stamped marks on the underside, including TUDRIC, MADE IN ENGLAND, or model numbers beginning with 0. Archibald Knox designs are distinguished by fluid Celtic interlacing, low-relief plant forms, and precise enamel settings.

Pewter jugs make striking accent pieces when displayed on wooden sideboards, open shelving, or mantelpieces. The cool metallic finish contrasts well against warm timber textures, linen fabrics, and contemporary minimalist backdrops.

Pewter should be dusted regularly with a soft cloth and cleaned using warm, soapy water; avoid abrasive silver polishes that can strip original patination. Woven cane handles require protection from excessive humidity and direct heat sources to prevent drying out or unraveling.
