Description

An attractive 19th century oak chest of drawers of good proportions and pleasing colour. The chest is fitted with two short drawers over three long graduated drawers. The drawers are fitted with brass oval handles, which are historic replacements but in keeping with the piece and of good quality. The chest stands on shaped bracket feet and displays a warm, well patinated surface throughout.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with signs of age. There are marks and scratches throughout, with age-related shrinkage to the panels which has led to some splitting of the wood, typical of period oak furniture. The chest of drawers remains structurally solid and sound, with all drawers running smoothly. A lovely example.
