Eighteenth Century Oak Settle

18th century
Description

Eighteenth century oak settle with an arched panelled back on cabriole legs. The seat is latted with a hessian cover. The mattress is modern and has a clean tartan cloth cover with a zip and could easily be changed. Good colour. Repairs and marks consistent with age. The right hand arm is held by a characterful old iron fixing and the legs have been repaired but all are solid and there is no movement. Circa 1750.
