A beautiful antique Malayer rug, woven circa 1900. The design features a large tomato red medallion on an indigo field and lighter blue border. It may have lost its outer border somewhere on its journey but retains all of its rustic charm.
 
Size: 1.78m x 1.19m (5ft 10in x 3ft 11in)
 
This rug has moderate, age related wear, slightly heavier in places (see photos). A couple of small old repairs (see photos). It has lost its outer border but fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
