Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1930s.
A superb, very original pair of solid adzed oak single beds by Mousenam of Kilburn Yorkshire.
They each have a well panelled head board with matching lower foot boards. They all have decorative moulded tops with a signature Mouseman carved mouse to each bed foot. Sometimes pairs only have one mouse, as it was more expensive to have another mouse carved on the order. This is a wonderful pair of 1930’s Mouseman standard UK single size oak beds in such great condition and complete with the original Vono bed irons. We can have made bespoke wooden mattress bases made, please enquire.
