The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The watch has a high grade stem-winding movement, PS Bartlett grade, which is working nicely.
The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 23,034,342 which dates it back to 1919. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The Bartlett grade was named after Patten Sargeant Bartlett who was one of the early employees of the Boston Watch Company which went on to become the Waltham Watch Company. He subsequently left Waltham to work for the National Watch Company at Elgin Illinois but eventually returned to Waltham to work as a salesman before opening his own wholesale business.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 14ct gold filled and it is in lovely condition.
The glass lens is in good condition.
The signed dial looks lovely to the naked eye… if viewed through a magnifying loupe, there are two short very faint hairlines. Blued steel hands.
The watch comes in an antique rosewood presentation box with mother of pearl detail. As the box is made of rosewood, we cannot export this item.
