We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

A partners desk is a large double-sided desk designed to accommodate two people working face-to-face, originating in 18th-century Britain to serve bankers, merchants, and business partners.

These desks are typically constructed from solid timber frames with premium veneers such as mahogany, oak, or walnut, and often feature inset leather writing surfaces decorated with gold tooling.

Authentic pieces exhibit hand-cut dovetail joints in the drawers, traditional wood shrinkage patterns, period-appropriate brass hardware, and secondary woods consistent with the stated era.

Position the desk as a freestanding centrepiece in a home office or library, balancing its traditional aesthetic with modern minimalist seating and contemporary lighting fixtures.

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth and periodically nourish the wood with traditional beeswax, avoiding silicone-based polishes and keeping the leather surface away from direct sunlight.
